Herman and Wallace Mobilization of the Myofascial Layer: Pelvis and Lower Extremities

Several studies describe the utilization of myofascial release or myofascial trigger point therapy for the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. Application of myofascial therapy for pelvic dysfunction requires a detailed knowledge of pelvic anatomy as well as exquisite palpation skills. This continuing education course is designed to provide comprehensive knowledge concerning the connective tissue that interacts with the muscular system of the trunk, hip, pelvis and lower extremity. This course is designed for the therapist who treats lumbopelvic, hip and lower extremity conditions in patients who present with primary or secondary pelvic dysfunction and symptoms. Taught by Ramona Horton.

Herman and Wallace Mobilization of Visceral Fascia: The Urinary System

Mobilization of the visceral fascia requires advanced palpation skills along with extensive knowledge of visceral anatomy. This continuing education course is a two-and-a-half day seminar designed to provide comprehensive knowledge concerning the relationship between the connective tissue surrounding the visceral structures of the urologic system as it relates to physical therapy treatment. Taught by Ramona Horton.

Lymph Drainage and Vascular Release for the Pelvic PT

Vasculature and lymphatic anatomy of the abdomen and pelvis for lymphatic drainage of the deep abdomen and pelvis and viscera.  Treatment techniques will also be covered for vascular releases of the large abdominal and pelvic vessels.   Upon completion of the course, therapists will be able to recognize and treat lymphatic congestion and vascular tension within tissues in patients with pelvic pain, bowel and bladder dysfunction. Taught by Mary Ellen Kramp.

Nutritious Movement™ Center Restorative Exercise Specialist

Nutritious Movement™ is a whole-body movement program that utilizes Movement Micronutrients and Macronutrients and habitat (lifestyle) changes to nourish all trillion of your body’s parts. The bending and squishing of your cells that happens when you move is an input—just like dietary nutrients. Cells respond directly to mechanical input through mechanotransduction. Your cells are just as affected by the movements you do and do not feed them as they are by the foods you do and do not feed them. Nutritious Movement is a program that offers Micronutrients (corrective exercises, to help mobilize any sedentary spots brought about by years of being casted by modern habitats) and Macronutrients (larger categories of movement like walking, squatting, carrying).

Katy Bowman is the founder of Nutritious Movement™. With radical, science-based health directives, Katy has taken the health-and-wellness world by storm with her bold “exercise is not movement” platform. A biomechanist by training, she has helped thousands reduce chronic pain, increase bone density, and improve metabolic health through better movement. Katy is the bestselling author of multiple books. Whole Body Barefoot (2015), Move Your DNA (2014), Alignment Matters (2013), Every Woman’s Guide to Foot Pain Relief (2011), Don’t Just Sit There (2015), Diastasis Recti (2016).
